The ‘2015 3rd Model UN Human Rights Council Universal Periodic Review (UPR)’ will be held at Seoul National University on 30 – 31 July 2015. Students and youth who are interested are welcome to participate in this competition.

▪ English / Korean
▪ The UPR session will be held in both languages with simultaneous interpretation in English and Korean

[How to Apply]
▪ Form a team of two persons who are undergraduate or graduate students OR youth ages 18 – 35
▪ Choose the country to represent:
Republic of Korea / Democratic People’s Republic of Korea / China / Japan
▪ Fill out the application form on our official website

[Participation Fee]
▪ KRW 60,000 per team

[Awards and Prizes]
▪ [UPR] Foreign Ministers’ Award (1 team), SNU President’s Award (1 team), Co-organizers’ Awards (4 teams), Peer Review Award (1 State under Review)
▪ [Human Rights Essay Contest] KINU President’s Award (1 individual), Co-organizers’ Award (3 individuals)
▪ Recipients of the Foreign Minister’s Award and SNU President’s Award will be offered the opportunity to take part in a partially-funded domestic or international human rights training program

▪ Application deadline: 25 May 2015
▪ Announcement of finalists: 8 June 2015
▪ Orientation: 4 July 2015
▪ Finals: 30 – 31 July 2015
